二、自然地理
Middelfart Municipality is a municipality in Region of Southern Denmark on the west coast of the island of Funen in southern Denmark. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Middelfart.
The Snævringen, is the strait that separates the island of Funen from the Jutland mainland in this area, where the two lie very close to each other, often less than 1.5 km apart. Snævringen is an extension of the Kattegat, and begins near the cities of Fredericia and Middelfart. To the south of the municipality is Fænø Strait, which separates Funen from the municipality's island of Fænø.
In Middelfart Municipality there are many beautiful and exciting nature areas. The Little Belt Trail is a coastal walking route that runs between Strib and Gamborg. On the trail you pass beautiful coastal landscapes, beaches, coastal slopes, pleasant urban environments, open fields and forests. Firewood Ådal is a very beautiful nature area with lots of nature and cultural experiences. The area contains a very varied plant and wildlife. Between Ejby and Kingstrup lies one of Funen's largest marsh areas, collectively called Ejby marsh. In 2015, a major nature restoration project was launched, which resulted in, among other things, several foals with grazing animals, clearing scrub, and the establishment of new lakes. The trails were expanded so that the area has now also become more accessible to exercise enthusiasts and nature enthusiasts. Folders with maps and info about the area can be found in the folder box at the parking lot. The trails can be used year-round, but in the winter months the area appears to be water-affected and parts of the tracks may be flooded. At Ejby and Gelsted there are also the beautiful state forests, which are the result of a collaboration between the municipality, the state forest district and the citizens of the area. One of the Vestermos forest is dog forest. That is, you must bring it into the forest without a leash in the fenced area. However, the dog must be under control. The forest is approx. 46 ha. large and there is parking at Ejby Town Hall. The forest was inaugurated in 1997 and every year parents of the previous year's newborn children expand the forest by planting oak trees in the Children's Forest.
Transport
Middelfart Municipality offers transport to citizens by public transport, taxi or telecommunication respectively. The awarding of offers is made by the caseworker based on a concrete individual assessment of the individual citizen's needs. Driving services are coordinated by the Driving Office, which is responsible for daily operations.
Middelfart is served by the passenger rail service between Copenhagen and Jutland. Gammel Havn (Old Harbour) dates from the 1830s. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was extended and deepened to the east.
三、经济发展和规模
From the Middle Ages until the end of the 19th century, the local fishermen were also whale hunters in winter. The only whale common in Danish waters is the Harbour Porpoise Phocoena. The whale hunters linked their boats across the rather narrow Little Belt and by beating the sea with sticks and branches they directed the migrating porpoises to low water areas where they could be slaughtered. As the whale blubber was used for lamps, indoors and outdoors, the arrival of electricity made whale hunting uneconomical. In the winter of 1854–55, 1742 whales were caught, but a normal winter's catch would only be half of this number or even less. In the 20th century, the hunt was resumed during the two world wars. Two memorial stones now stand where the hunters landed the whales and where blubber was prepared.
In 2019, an operating profit of DKK 102.8 million was realized. kr., whilecapital expenditures, as a result of the port acquisition, amounted to DKK 204.1 million. The result must be seen in the light of the strategic land acquisitions and I am perfectly comfortable investingthe stings will earn themselves home over the coming years in the form of increased revenue fromAmong other things, basic sales, increased print basis etc. The result has been calculated including the allocated budget protection of DKK 30.8 million. kr.
Income from taxes, grants, offsets and the VAT refund scheme total 2,282.9 million DKK originally against DKK 2,279.1 million. There was thus a netrealized additional revenue of DKK 3.8 million DKK 2019 in the 2019 financial year.Net tax expenses totaled DKK 2,179.1 million on tax-financed operations. kr. incl. re-mergers on operating items while initially budgeted with net expenses for2,187.2 million kr.
Overall, the realized operating expenses thus amount to DKK 8.1 million. DKK under the original budget, including service, but is DKK 22.7 million. DKK higher than budgeted when viewed away from the box-funded service guard.
Net interest expenses amounted to DKK 1.0 million. DKK 2019, while originally budgeted with 7.5 million DKK in net interest expenses. Thus, interest expenses amounted to DKK 6.5 million. DKK lower than originally budgeted. The deviation is primarily due to the realization historically large increases in the global stock markets in 2019 at the same time historically low - and still falling - interest rates generated good returns on the bond markets. It means resulted in an abnormally high risk-adjusted return in the securities portfolio of the mouth. Another contributing factor to the low net interest expenses was that additional income from guarantee commissions was realized as a result of the EU state-support rules require increased commissioning of municipal guarantee claims for utilities and other commercial activities. Finally, have lower expenses for the return on the municipality's loans have contributed to the low net interest expenses

Middelfart Museum
Address: Algade 8, 5500 Middelfart
The Middelfart Museum is Middelfart's local history museum, whose mission is to collect, record, preserve, research and disseminate in a local, national and - if obvious - global perspective.
The Middelfart Museum includes five different exhibition venues, and the museum also organizes seasonal activities and cultural-historical, guided tours.
The Old Little Belt bridge
Address: 5500 Middelfart
1,178 metres long, 57 metres high
Price: DKK 32 million for the construction
Average height: 33 metres
Built: 1925 - 1935
Lillebælt was once a meadow area. However, the strait was formed during the ice age, including the vertical 40-meter-deep clay wall, which today is very popular among divers.
Around the time of the First Schleswig War, the idea of making a tunnel under the strait was discussed, but it never happened. It was not until the 1880s, when a steel bridge was constructed on the Limfjord that there was any real interest in building a bridge connection over the Lillebælt. In 1899, a proposal was made in Parliament for a bridge connection between Middlefart and Fredericia. The proposal was rejected again due to the rapid development of steam ferries.
It was not until 1923, when there were infrastructural bottleneck problems in Strib, where the railway traffic to Fredericia sailed from, that plans for a double-track railway bridge finally came on the table.
With pressure from motor organisations, reportedly FDM, they managed to get roads included in the bridge planning, and the construction and restructuring of the railway network started in 1925.
In 2015, Bridgewalking opened on The Old Lillebælt Bridge and it has become a major tourist attraction with thousands of visitors.
There were boats with tourists that sailed from the harbour in Middelfart, who wanted to go and see the construction. Many nicknames were used in those days, and one of the boatmen was called "Blondematrosen", from the Danish word 'blonde' for lace, because his wife had a lingerie shop.
The New Little Belt bridge
Address: 5500 Middelfart
The new bridge was opened by danish King Frederik IX on the 21st of October 1970.
The total price amounted to 260 million kroner and it became the first suspension bridge in Denmark ever.
It spans 1.7 km. and the two towers rise 120 metres above sea level. It is solidly anchored in 33.000 tons of armoured concrete on each side and ships as tall as 42 metres are able to pass under it. However, please note, that for passing under the Old Bridge, it cannot surpass 33 metres.
六、历史文化
The name Middelfart, first recorded as "Mæthælfar" in Valdemar's Census Book in 1231, consists of the old Danish word mæthal meaning "middle" and far meaning "way". It therefore probably originated as designating the narrow passage between Funen and Jutland, only later being applied to the settlement.
It is not known when the town was established but it certainly owes its existence to its location at the narrowest point across the Little Belt. The town was granted its first privileges at the end of the 13th century at a time when fishing played an important role in addition to its ferry link to Snoghøj in Jutland. From the Middle Ages, the town appears to have specialized in catching harbour porpoises. In the 16th century, cattle export was also significant.
After the Swedish Wars in the 17th century, the town suffered from losing its foreign export privileges as well as competition from Fredericia on the other side of the belt which not only had a ferry link to Strib but levied customs duties on traffic through the Little Belt. In the 18th century, income from porpoise catches diminished but in the 19th century, with the establishment of its own harbour in 1836, conditions improved thanks in particular to the growing trade in agricultural products from the surrounding areas. From the mid-19th century, small industries started to develop, especially the iron foundry. The rail link between Middelfart and Nyborg opened in 1865 bringing added prosperity despite the fact that it connected with the ferry from Strib rather than the one from Middelfart.
By the beginning of the 20th century, the iron foundry, with about a hundred workers, was the town's main industry. After the first Little Belt Bridge was completed in 1935, Middelfart became an important hub for traffic between Jutland and Funen. The population exploded from 2,345 in 1880 to 11,056 in 1950 although in the second half of the 20th century the rate of growth declined. In 1970, a motorway bridge to Jutland was opened and in 2007 Middelfart became the seat of an expanded municipality which included the former communes of Ejby and Nørre Aaby.
On January 1, 2007 Middelfart municipality was, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The
Municipal Reform" of 2007), merged with Ejby and Nørre Aaby municipalities to form an enlarged Middelfart municipality.
