二、自然地理(或者地理环境、自然资源、交通情况)

Hørsholm Kommune is a municipality in the Copenhagen Capital Region in the northern part of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark.

Neighboring municipalities, in line with the Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), are Fredensborg municipality (formerly Fredensborg-Humlebæk and Karlebo) to the north, Allerød municipality to the west, and Rudersdal municipality (formerly Birkerød and Søllerød) to the south. To the east is the Øresund, the strait that separates Denmark from Sweden. The distance to Sweden from the coast at Hørsholm is ca. 17 km to Landskrona or ca. 9 km to the Swedish island of Ven.

The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Hørsholm. Hørsholm is an affluent city on the Øresund coast approximately 25 km (15.53 mi) north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It covers most of Hørsholm Municipality and straddles the borders neighbouring Fredensborg-Humlebæk and Rudersdal Municipalities.

Hørsholm Slotshave, the former gardens of Girschholm Palace, is the largest public park in Hørsholm. A little to the east of it lies Hørsholm Arboretum, part of the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Science. Hørsholm Cemetery is Hørsholm's largest cemetery. Rungsted Beach is Hørsholm's most popular beach but bathing is also possible at Mikkelborg and from several other localities along the coast.

Hørsholm is surrounded by a number of small woodlands. They include Rungsted Hegn–Folehave Skov. Kokkedal Skov, Elleskoven and Stasevang Skov. The larger Jægersborg Hegn, which separates Hørsholm from Skodsborg to the south, adjoins the extensive UNESCO-LISTED deer park Jægersborg Dyrehave.

Transport

Hørsholm is well connected to the rest of North Zealand via the coastal train line, and Copenhagen city center is only half an hour away.

Rungsted Kyst Station and Kokkedal Station on the coast are located on Kystbanen and served by the Oresundtrains which continue to Copenhagen Airport and across the Øresund bridge to Sweden.

The Hørsholm Highway is Denmark's oldest highway and connects Hørsholm to Copenhagen to the south and Helsingør to the north.

三、经济发展和规模

Hørsholm and the neighbouring town Rungsted (which is part of Hørsholm Municipality) has an average income per household among the highest in the country - a fact also strongly reflected in the price of housing in the area. Wealthy households are attracted to Hørsholm by its comparatively low income tax rate, proximity to forests and the sea. Moreover, the commuting distance to central Copenhagen remains reasonably short.

The Hørsholm Midtpunkt shopping mall with its 65 stores opened in the early 1970s and is the second largest shopping mall in Northern Zealand and among the ten largest shopping malls in the Copenhagen Capital Region.

Hørsholm is linked to engineering consultancy and information technology. Scion DTU, a since park now part of the Technical University of Denmark, is home to many technological start-ups.

Hørsholm Hospital used to be a major employer but it has now closed.

Hørsholm Municipality has become part of the Greater Copenhagen area, yet the citizens have a clear feeling that it is not quite swallowed up by Greater Copenhagen. Hørsholm is at one time a suburb of the big city and an independent and well-functioning local community with its own distinctive character. Both business and the private and public institutions have a wide range - this also applies in the cultural field, where we have invested heavily in recent years.

Hørsholm Castle Gardens

Address: Folehavevej 15, 2970 Hørsholm

When you walk in Hørsholm Castle Garden, you will look in vain for the castle. It is torn down. But here once lay the impressive Hirschholm Castle, where Struensee and Queen Caroline Mathilde spent their love summer, later known as the Hirschholm Summer. The place contains a dramatic story that unfolds in the movie "A royal affair".

Today, the park is a peaceful green space for citizens and guests in Hørsholm. The site where the original castle church stood is today Hørsholm Church.

The lines from the Baroque garden system and the moat are still visible, and you can sense that here once was a large-scale plant. Hirschholm Castle was one of Europe's most beautiful Baroque castles, designed by architect Lauritz de Thurah and built in 1744. It worked for years as the royal family's summer residence - but after the scandal with Struensee and Caroline Mathilde, the castle was no longer used. It decayed and was finally torn down in 1810. But the more than 250-year-old lime trees still stand here.

The Danish Nature Board has restored the castle garden and recreated part of the symmetry of the old garden system from the Baroque era.

In this museum you will also find an exhibition of the beautiful, but now lost,HirscholmPalace.

There was both a medieval castle and a castle build in the 16thcentrury as a royal hunting seat, before the Royal palace, known as the Versailles of the north, was build in 1730-1744. This palace was the setting for several of the scandalous events of the time. The Museum has a permanent exhibition which features images, paintings and items from the palace.

This palace was the setting of the loveaffair between the Queen Caroline Mathilde and the court physician J.F. Struensee. Struensee had gained power to rule the country as the King Christian 7 was insane. He performed a large-scale reform policy, but the powerelite was not ready for this and Struensee was overthrown and executed. The exhibition holds materials pertaining to the history, trial and execution of Struensee, and you will also find a lot of the popular prints and pictures, that was published at the time, to denigrate Struensee.

六、历史文化

Hørsholm was founded in connection with the construction of Hirschholm Palace. Niels Eigtved created a plan for a residence town in 1737 and to stimulate its growth, it was given status as market town in 1739. However, it never came to serve as a market town and was still only a small settlement when the palace was demolished between 1810 and 1816. Over the following decades it grew as a garrison town and a local centre for trade.

Hørsholm was the site of the infamous Hirschholm Palace, which served as the summer retreat for King Christian VII and his court in 1771, when his consort, Queen Caroline Matilda, gave birth to her child by Johann Friedrich Struensee, Princess Louise Augusta. The castle, referred to as the "Versailles of the North", was neglected after that fateful year and torn down by Frederick VI, the King's son, in order to provide building materials for Christiansborg Palace, which had burned down in 1794.

A textile factory, later known as the Royal Military Textile Factory, had already been established in Usserød in the 1790s(closed 1981). It was joined by other industrial enterprises in the second half of the 19th century, such as Hørsholm Textile Factory (1885-1975), Hørsholm Tobakspakkeri og Hørsholm Iron Foundry (1900-1965).

In the 20th, Hørsholm gradually grew together with the neighbouring communities Usserød, Rungsted and Smidstrup. Most recently, Hørsholm has grown together with Kokkedal in Fredensborg-Humlebæk Municipality and Trørød, Vedbæk and Gammel Holte in Rudersdal Municipality.

Hørsholm municipality was not merged with other municipalities on January 1, 2007 under the nationwide Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007).

Trommen ("The Drum") is Hørsholm's principal cultural centre and also home to its main library. Hørsholm is home to several museums. Rungstedlund is the former home of the author Karen Blixen and is now home to the Karen Blixen Museum. Kulturhus Trommen is the setting for many cultural events in Hørsholm.

The drum was designed by architect Knud Munk and since its inauguration in 1988, due to its distinctive design and exquisite material selection, became an attraction for Hørsholm Municipality. The drum is centrally located in Hørsholm and today functions as a concert and theater house. Here the best Danish and foreign artists are presented. The drum's events take place primarily from September to May and offer approx. 10 cultural events a month with everything from music in pop, rock, classical and jazz, comedy and stand up, musical, theater, lectures and children's concerts and theater. These events are most often held after 7 p.m. 20:00. The unique building also houses the city library and offers changing exhibitions.

The Danish Museum of Hunting and Forestry is based in the few surviving buildings from Girschholm Palace. Hørsholm is only about 17 km (11 mi) from Jægersborg Dyrehave and Store Dyrehave and some 30 km (19 mi) from Gribskov, all three included in the recently UNESCO-listed Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand developed by King Christian V in the late 17th century for hunting deer with hounds. The adjacent Hørsholm Local History Museum contains a Struense exhibition. Gammel Holtegård plays host to temporary art axhibitions as well as a permanent archeological exhibition. The small Fuglsangshus is also used as a venue for changing art exhibitions.
