二、自然地理

1.地理条件

The municipality Skeiða- og Gnúpverjahreppur is southeast of Hrunamannahreppur , and the municipality Bláskógabyggð is northwest . The next bigger towns are Laugarás and Reykholt .

Hrunamannahreppur is located east of the Hvítá river, which plunges into a narrow gorge over the well-known and touristically significant Gullfoss waterfall. The source river Stóra -Laxá flows through the place Flúðir in rapids (isl. Flúðir).

Flúðir is a rapidly growing community in the centre of Hrunamannahreppur district, about 25 minutes off the main Ring Road. The area is considered to be very fertile and beautiful. Litla-Laxá, a clear spring river runs through the village in an attractive basin. Miðfell, a small mountain, towers over Flúðir, and gives the surrounding area a distinctive look. Good walking and riding paths lie to the top of Miðfell. Up there you will find an impressive lake and from the top there is a great view over the area.

Stóra-Laxá is a well-known salmon fishing river and the landscape in and by the river is considered both varied and magnificent, but there are the best-known Laxárgljúfur gorges that have cut deep into the bedrock on the highland edge on the pastures of Hrunamanna and Skeiða- and Gnúpverji. The bedrock is about 2-3 million years old, compressed from volcanic eruptions during the ice age. The gorges have been formed by the fact that the Stóra-Laxá river has been digging into the rock for the past 10,000 years or so. The gorges are about 10 kilometers long and in many places 100 - 200 meters deep from the inner part to Hrunakrókur which is at the top of Laxárdalur. The river runs salmon far into Laxárgljúfur.

In 2012, Landsvirkjun applied for an exploration permit for a power plant in the river, but there is disagreement on the matter between the National Energy Authority, the government and fishing associations. In July of the same year, the National Energy Authority granted Landsvirkjun an exploration permit for plans for a power plant in the upper part of the Stóra Laxá river basin.

四、产业特点重点项目

There is a lot of cattle breeding in the countryside and the municipality is one of the leading in the country in terms of milk production.

Also, There is a lot of horticulture in the district, especially in the urban area of Flúðir by Litla-Laxá , as there is a lot of geothermal heat in the area. The main products in horticulture are tomatoes of various types, cucumbers, peppers and lettuce.

The largest companies in Flúðir are Límtré (construction) and Flúðasveppir (farm and restaurant). In Flúðir there is a primary school and a school for 8th to 10th grade which also serves Skeiða- and Gnúpverjahreppur.

Around Flúðir there is a lot of outdoor cultivation but also greenhouse cultivation that uses geothermal energy in the area. Geothermal heat is utilized for greenhouses, and there is the biggest mushroom factory in Iceland.

The surrounding area is a popular location for summerhouses. Flúðir has excellent services available for visitors. Among those are accommodation, restaurants, grocery store, camping ground, swimming pool, golf course, football golf, horse rental and The Secret Lagoon.

Hrunamannahreppur Forestry Association

The Hrunamannahreppur Forestry Association was established in 1986 in its current form, but before that the forestry committees within UMFH and the Hrunamannahreppur Women's Association had been active in forestry in the district.

The aim of the association was to combine the existing forestry activities within the municipality into one whole. The association was not established to take over the forestry of UMFH and the women's association, but to support their forestry as much as possible.

One of the company's larger projects has been the so-called asparagus program, but the trigger for the idea was asparagus that had been planted along roads in Flúðir and had attracted deserved attention. The goal was to plant aspir along the main road from Flúðir to Stóra-Laxárbrú with approx. 6 m apart at the cutting edge opposite the road and then a fence would be built by the road construction. This would be done with the consent of all landowners. Almost all landowners approved the asparagus plan and there is an almost continuous series of aspen from the Stóra-Laxá bridge to Flúðir.

In 1988, the first planting of the asparagus program began with the planting of poplars on the way from Flúðir.

The company's larger project today, in addition to planting and gauze, is the development of a park in Flúðir in collaboration with Hrunamannahreppur and the development of new forestry in Kópsvatnsás.

3. Geysir

 4.png

Geysir (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈceiːsɪr̥] (About this soundlisten)), sometimes known as The Great Geysir, is a geyser in southwestern Iceland. It was the first geyser described in a printed source and the first known to modern Europeans.[citation needed] The English word geyser (a periodically spouting hot spring) derives from Geysir. The name Geysir itself is derived from the Icelandic verb geysa ("to gush") the verb from Old Norse. Geysir lies in the Haukadalur valley on the slopes of Laugarfjall hill, which is also the home to Strokkur geyser about 50 metres (160 ft) south.

Eruptions at Geysir can hurl boiling water up to 70 metres (230 ft) in the air. However, eruptions may be infrequent, and have in the past stopped altogether for years at a time.
