They have all had their home port in Grenivík, even though they were made elsewhere.
The company has historically provided many locals with secure employment at sea and on land, but not at home until 2010 when it took over the operation of the cold store that Kaldbakur hf built in Grenivík in 1968. 五、风景名胜,景点( attractions)
1. The Fishing Museum in Grenivík
The fishing museum stands by Sæland in Grenivík, in Hlíðarendur an old bait shed. Stefán Stefánsson, an operator in Miðgörður, built Hlíðarendur in 1920. In the first year of Hlíðarendur, the house was used as a shipyard. The boat Hermann TH34 was built there, but it was built from Grenivík and later Akureyri in the 1940s and is now owned by the museum. The house was mostly used as a bait shed, but the sheds that were held there are also a special part of Grenivík's cultural history. In recent decades, Hlíðarendi was mainly used as storage for various types of fishing equipment.
Repairs to Hlíðarendaskúr began a few years ago with the aim of preserving the fishing history of Grýtubakkahreppur, which is quite remarkable, by opening a fishing museum with an emphasis on line fishing.
The museum is open every day of the week in June, July and August at 13:00 - 17:00.

2. The old town in Laufás
Residence in Laufás can be traced all the way back to paganism, but in the oldest part of the old town that now stands, it is believed that there are woods from the 16th and 17th centuries. The town was rebuilt with great dignity during the time of Reverend Björn Halldórsson, who lived there from 1853-1882. Laufásbærinn is a stylish brush town, typical of the Icelandic town of that time, but much larger. It was common for twenty to thirty people to live in Laufás, because many workers were needed to take advantage of this lush fertile land, but it came with great benefits.
Today, Laufásbærinn is equipped with houses and utensils similar to what was customary around the turn of the century 1900. Three times a year, working days are held in the Old Town; Spring work, Heyannir and Jólaannir. There are members from the Laufás group who bring the town to life during working days and show the handles and crafts of the past.
The old rectory, which is owned by the Museum in Akureyri, has run Gestastofa Laufás since the summer of 2014. Emphasis is placed on receiving tourists and visitors, among other things by educating about the history of the place, nature and the immediate surroundings. You can get coffee and light snacks and enjoy the view or look at books and magazines in the book corner. There is also a handicraft and souvenir shop in the Visitor Center, where you can see a wide range of products, including from entrepreneurs from the area.

1.历史
Grýtubakkahreppur is on the east side of Eyjafjörður. The municipality has about 370 inhabitants, about 300 in the town and about 70 in a thriving countryside south of Grenivík. Þengill was sailing from Fnjóská to Grenivík and lived in Höfði, but Þormóður Þorleifsson took Grenivík and Hvallátur and the coast all the way to Þorgeirsfjörður. The land became Grenivík in 1891 when it was divided for the church land Höfði. It was state-owned until 1973 when Grýtubakkahreppur bought it. A church was built 1885-1886 and was first served by Höfðaprest, but in 1892 Grenivík became a vicarage when Rev. Árni Jóhannesson settled in Grenivík. He sat there until the day of his death. In 1927, Grenivíkurprestakall was merged with Laufásprestakalli.
Doctors had lived in Kljáströnd and Grenivík since 1894, Lænknishéraðið was first called the 8th additional medical district but in 1900 the name was changed to Höfðahverfislæknishérað. In 1928, the Grenivík vicarage was turned into a medical residence. Jóhann J. Kristjánsson first sat there until 1937, when Árni Björn Árnason took over and sat there until 1977. There is now a health center in Túngata 2 in Grenivík, which is served by Akureyri doctors.

七、其他信息
The municipality is known in Iceland for its many hiking trails. The township of Grenivík lies under the 1,173 metre high mountain Kaldbakur. There are many excellent routes up the mountain, but if you do not feel like tackling those, there are easier paths up Þengilhöfði, which is a 260 metre high mountain just south of Grenivík. But for those who want a really challenging climb there are Blámannshattur and Laufáshnjúkur, both in the surrounding area.
